Configuring a mail client

To send e-mail messages from your mailbox, from a connection not provided by TWT, your local e-mail client locale (Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora ecc.) must be configured to send a pre-emptive authentication to our server.

This change of configuration is only required for sending messages via TWT’s mail servers, when using an internet connection not provided by TWT. No change is required when using the connection provider’s mail server.

It is very simple to configure. Just set your mail client (the example refers to Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, in English; for other applications refer to the provider’s specifications) as given in the diagrams below:

- Configuring Outlook


The credentials our server requires must be the same as those specified for incoming mail.From Tools, select Mail account or E-mail accounts then select your account and click on edit or change. Then click on ‘More settings’ and select the field ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication’.


Confirm all configuration menu boxes displayed and click on OK.


- Configuring Outlook Express

The credentials our server requires must be the same as those specified for incoming mail. Click on Settings and select the field; ‘Use same settings as my incoming mail server’.

- Configuring Eudora

The credentials our server requires must be the same as those specified for incoming mail. Menu Tools >Options to open the Options menu box. Select the Sending Mail icon to configure Eudora, clicking on the option Allow authentications, then select the personal configuration SMTP Relay Personality from the drop-down menu; confirm the new settings by clicking on OK.
