Inalterability and guaranteed origin for documents in an electronic format

Certified Electronic MailCertified Electronic Mail [CEM] is a means of communication that is fast, secure and economical, with the same legal validity as traditional paper documents.

Certified Electronic Mail is a system for transmitting information documents that is very similar to the traditional electronic mail service, with the added possibility of obtaining a legally valid confirmation of the message’s receipt from the addressee.
In other words, it gives the electronic transmission process a value equivalent to that of recorded delivery when using a registered mail service.

Certified Electronic Mail is especially effective when sending "official" communications, for which the sender requires proof of a message’s forwarding and receipt by the addressee. When using CEM, messages are collected by TWT, as an authorized administrator registered on the DIGIT PA public registry, enclosed in a virtual envelope and marked with an electronic signature so as to guarantee their inalterability and origin. A CEM mailbox also allows users to send and receive ordinary e-mail.

The service can be accessed either via a traditional e-mail client or by using a web browser to navigate on TWT’s CEM WebMail portal.

Senders who lose their receipts for forwarded messages can count on their TWT administrator, who keeps track of all messages sent and received for a minimum period of 30 months, so that recorded delivery receipts can be reproduced and their legal validity maintained unaltered.
