The Switchless Fax2Mail solution, an add-on to the Reseller VoIP offering, is a service which allows faxes to be sent and received via e-mail, by associating an e-mail address with a geographical number. The Reseller can manage the service to its end customers autonomously, thanks to the TWT infrastructure.TWT allows the Reseller to offer the service to its customers through geographical access numbers and Number Portability (where available), which may be requested via the dedicated form and managed through the Web portal.
There are three types of Service: Standard, Advanced and Exchange.
The Standard service provides a new mail account, which is associated with the geographical number (already configured on the portal via VoIP), in the following format: geographicalfaxnumber@resellerdomain.tld
Each time a fax is sent and/or received, the customer will receive an e-mail notification, fully customized for the Reseller.
To send a fax, simply send an e-mail with the fax as an attachment, to faxnumber@resellerdomain.tld
This service is available for Resellers with an active Internet section on TWT. With this service, in addition to activation through the Standard method, the Reseller can opt to directly manage the geographical number by using the customer's e-mail accounts (provided the customer's e-mail is managed by TWT).
Two lists of e-mail users can therefore be associated with each geographical number, one for senders and the other for recipients. The former lists the customer's mailboxes which are enabled for sending, while for the latter it is those which can receive.
